Hi, I’m Danielle, the heart and hands behind The Secret Garden Bookery. I’m a wife, mom, lifelong reader, and unapologetic romantic. I believe stories have power. The power to comfort, to inspire, to challenge, and to change us. This little shop of mine was born from that belief, and this dream, became a reality that was built with a whole lot of love, late-night planning, and dedication.

Before opening the doors to The Secret Garden, I spent years as a nurse, dreaming about what it would feel like to create a space that felt like walking into a favorite book. A place where dragons and danger sit on shelves beside slow-burn love stories and magical maps. A place where fantasy and romance aren’t just genres—they’re the very soul of the space. Every candlelit corner, every curated shelf, every blind date bundle has my fingerprints on it.

This bookstore is more than a business: it’s a piece of me. It's a tribute to the quiet strength of women who chase dreams in between bedtime stories and busy schedules. It's where bookish misfits can come as they are, find their next fictional obsession, and perhaps fall in love with reading all over again.

When I’m not obsessively reorganizing the shelves or hunting down new indie fantasy romance authors, I’m usually at home in Mississippi with my husband and our two incredible kids. They’re the ones who remind me to keep dreaming and to never stop telling and sharing stories with others.
